Job Description
The Workday HCM Architect will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and optimization of Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions. This role requires deep functional and technical expertise across the Workday HCM suite, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to align HR technology with strategic business goals. The ideal candidate will provide architectural leadership, ensure best practices, and drive continuous improvement within the Workday environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of Workday HCM modules, including Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Time Tracking, Recruiting, Talent & Performance, and Learning. Collaborate closely with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable Workday solutions. Develop and maintain architectural standards, configuration documentation, and solution roadmaps for the Workday HCM platform. Serve as a Workday subject matter expert (SME), providing strategic direction on system design, configuration, and integrations. Oversee and guide integration efforts between Workday and external systems (e.g., payroll, benefits vendors, and identity management systems). Drive optimization projects by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, automation, and user experience. Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards. Mentor and support junior Workday analysts and consultants, fostering knowledge sharing and professional development. Collaborate with reporting teams to design and maintain Workday dashboards and advanced reports. Stay updated with Workday feature releases and ensure appropriate adoption of new functionalities. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field. 8 years of experience with ERP or HCM systems, including 5 years of hands-on experience with Workday HCM. Proven track record leading Workday HCM implementations or large-scale optimization projects. Strong functional knowledge of Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Talent, and Recruiting modules. Experience designing and managing Workday integrations (EIB, Studio, Core Connectors, REST APIs). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Workday HCM certification(s) highly preferred. Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
