Job Title: Reliability Engineer Location: Wimborne, Dorset or Titchfield/Bedhampton Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 Benefits An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Reliability Engineer to join a global leader in the aerospace and defence industry, working on innovative mission-critical systems. You will be part of the Reliability, Maintainability & Safety (RMS) team, embedding Design for Reliability (DfR) practices across new and existing programmes, and ensuring compliance with international aerospace standards. Key Responsibilities Perform reliability, maintainability, and safety (RMS) analyses at both component and system level. Produce reliability predictions, FMECAs/FMEAs, maintainability analyses, and fault tree analyses (FTA). Support DfR activities such as DFMEA, risk management logs, HALT/HASS and robustness modelling. Analyse in-service data and support FRACAS processes to drive product improvement. Work with design and development teams to ensure products meet certification requirements (ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-178C/DO-254, MIL-HDBK-217). Prepare technical reports and liaise with internal stakeholders and customers. Skills & Experience Required Degree in Engineering (or equivalent). 2 years’ experience in a technical engineering role. Background in aerospace, defence, avionics or other safety-critical sectors preferred. Hands-on knowledge of FMEA, FMECAs, FRACAS, reliability block diagrams, fault tree analysis, and reliability modelling. Familiarity with aerospace certification standards (ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-178C, DO-254, MIL-HDBK-217). Experience with reliability/statistical tools such as Minitab, Weibull or Windchill Quality Solutions. Knowledge of fuel, hydraulic or avionics systems would be an advantage.
