Finance Manager Newtownards £45,000 - £55,000 Artemis Human Capital are working with a client who are on the lookout for a commercially minded and hands-on Accountant to oversee daily financial operations in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Reporting to the Finance Director, this role combines finance responsibilities with operational improvement initiatives, offering exposure to strategic decision-making in a private equity-backed business. Key Responsibilities Prepare management accounts, oversee month-end processes, and manage compliance for VAT, payroll, and statutory reporting Maintain and improve financial controls, ensuring accuracy in accounting records and reporting Support budgeting, cashflow forecasting, and financial planning activities Lead operational improvements including system upgrades and project cost tracking Collaborate across departments to enhance workflow efficiency and build data-driven performance reporting The Person Fully or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) Solid understanding of finance operations in an SME or growing business environment. Proven experience delivering systems or process improvements. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a commercial mindset.
