Clamp operator (Chemical Industry exp)

Minimum Requirements Grade 12 / Matric Valid Clamp Forklift Operator Licence (F11 or relevant operating license) Valid forklift competency certificate Minimum 12 years experience operating a clamp forklift in an industrial or warehouse environment (chemical industry experience advantageous) Knowledge of safe handling of hazardous materials and chemicals Ability to read and interpret job orders and stock documents Physically fit and medically cleared to work in chemical conditions Skills & Competencies Strong safety awareness and compliance Attention to detail and accuracy Good communication and teamwork skills Time management and ability to work under pressure Knowledge of OHS Act and chemical industry regulations Ability to follow SOPs and work instructions Key Responsibilities Safely operate a Clamp Forklift to load, offload, stack, and move chemical products and materials Handle drums, bulk bags, pallets, and chemical packaging with precision and care Ensure safe transportation of hazardous materials and adherence to chemical handling procedures Inspect clamp equipment before and after use; report and record any mechanical issues Ensure accurate material movement according to stock and production requirements Follow chemical plant SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality) procedures Assist in warehouse housekeeping and maintain clean, safe work areas Adhere to waste management and spill response procedures Support inventory management and stock control activities Coordinate with production, logistics, and warehouse teams.
