Department of International Relations and Global Politics Position Type: Part-Time, Adjunct Faculty Start Date: Spring 2026 / January 15, 2026 Position Summary: The AUR IRGP program invites applications for an adjunct faculty position to teach an undergraduate course on International Relations of East Asia . The course will examine the geopolitical dynamics, security issues, economic relations, and foreign policy strategies of key actors in the region, including China, Japan, the Koreas, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia, with attention to U.S. involvement. Responsibilities: Teach one undergraduate course (3 credit hours) in International Relations of East Asia. Deliver lectures, lead discussions, and assess student performance through assignments, exams, and participation. Provide timely feedback and hold regular office hours (in-person or virtual). Maintain course materials and adhere to university academic policies. Qualifications: Ph.D. in a relevant field. Demonstrated expertise in East Asian international affairs. Prior teaching experience at the college or university level is strongly preferred. Ability to engage undergraduates from diverse backgrounds in complex global issues.
