Local Contract Nurse RN - Pediatrics - $48-53 per hour

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions Regional is seeking a local contract nurse RN Pediatrics for a local contract nursing job in Denver, Colorado. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Pediatrics Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days, nights Employment Type: Local Contract Number of Beds – 36- all private rooms with parent sleeping accommodations Number of Staff – 60 Type of staff: Day Shift – 1 charge (patient free), 1-3 PCTs (CNA’s), occasionally a Clinical Nurse Coordinator as extra resource- typically 4 days a week Night Shift - 1 charge (patient free), 1-2 PCT’s, occasionally a Clinical Nurse Coordinator as resource – typically twice a week or as staffing allows. Patient Ratios – Mixed care- step down patients (spinal fusions, chest tubes, high flow oxygen. We do not do any CPAP, BiPAP or trach/vents in the department, they all go to PICU) are staffed 1:3 and basic care patients are staffed 1:4 Type of equipment - Phillips Monitors EMR - Meditech Typical Procedures: NGTs, Foleys, TP Tubes, PIVs, phlebotomy (we do have an accuvein in the dept) Rare- but can occur occasionally- LP’s. Must be comfortable with high flow oxygen, spinal fusion, chest tubes Must Haves: - An ASN degree minimum, BSN preferred - A recent 2 years of Peds RN experience in an acute hospital setting - CO RN License - BLS and PALS Certifications Preferred or Nice to Have: - MediTech Experience - Travel Experience
