Job Description
ServiceNow Developer Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our staffing practice has an opening for a xx ServiceNow Developer with hands-on Configuration Management, ITAM, and ITSM Event Management development as well as deployment experience to place at our client, an industry leading technology company. Client: A Fortune 100 Technology Company Terms: 6-month contract. Location: Hybrid Preferred - Downtown Toronto Project: ServiceNow ITOM / Configuration, Asset, Event Management Specialist. This is a hands-on implementation role requiring both technical depth and delivery ownership. This role is responsible for configuring and implementing Configuration Management, IT Asset Management, Event Management in ServiceNow Yokohama. Core Responsibilities: 1. Configuration Management Implement CSDM 5.0 aligned CMDB data model. Configure ServiceNow Discovery & Service Mapping across on-prem environments. Categorize Business Services, Technical Services, Application Services, and infrastructure Cis within ServiceNow. Configure required attributes, CI relationships, assignment and support groups within ServiceNow. Support implementation including establishing data quality rules, deduplication logic. 2. IT Asset Management (HAM/SAM) Initial load all data center and platform assets (compute, storage, network appliances, virtual assets, OpenShift clusters). Initial load of Software based on Bill of Material Integrate hardware asset records with CMDB. 3. Event Management (ServiceNow ITOM) Integrate Dynatrace, Splunk, tools to generate events in ServiceNow. Define, refine event rules, alert correlation, CI binding, and severity mapping and auto-assignment to Resolver Groups. Validate upstream/downstream CI relationships for accurate impact analysis. Key Qualifications: Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITOM, CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, Event Management, Service Mapping. Strong understanding of CSDM domains, CI lifecycle, and relationship modeling. Proven track record implementing IT Asset Management (HAM/SAM). Experience integrating monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Splunk) or other connectors. Ability to configure MID Servers, credentials, discovery schedules, classification rules. Experienced in populating CMDB with accurate CIs and relationships. Experienced in implementing CSDM-aligned models for Business, Application, Technical, and Infrastructure Services. Hands on experience with Event correlation and Asset inventory. Preferred Certifications: ServiceNow Certified in CMDB / Discovery / HAM / SAM / Event Management ITIL4 Certification (Service Configuration & Event Management module preferred) Interview Process: Interviews will take place in two rounds during the same week this month.
