Job Description

Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Hybrid Data Engineer (Python / PySpark) for our client. This hybrid role can be filled in either Toronto or Ottawa, ON. Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Cutover Planning & Execution: ● Develop and own the Cutover Strategy, aligning it with project timelines, testing outcomes, and business readiness checkpoints. ● Coordinate with functional and technical teams to identify and sequence cutover tasks (data migration, configuration migration, user provisioning, system validation, and communication). ● Prepare and maintain a detailed cutover runbook and drive rehearsals (mock cutovers plans, RACI and readiness assessment). ● Manage cutover command center during Go-Live to ensure smooth execution and real-time issue resolution. ● Collaborate with Infrastructure, Integration, and Data Migration teams to validate system and interface readiness. Hypercare Management: ● Lead go-live command center operations from the project office perspective, managing communication, escalation, and decision tracking. ● Develop and execute the Hypercare Governance Framework and Support Plan including issue triage processes, escalation paths, and performance monitoring considering the current project structure and stakeholders. ● Communicate and socialize the Hypercare Support Plan with the project stakeholder to engage and build consensus on the roles and responsibilities of the various teams and their required engagement. ● Establish and manage Hypercare governance cadence (daily standups, issue dashboards, SLA tracking). ● Ensure smooth transition from project Hypercare to steady-state support teams (internal or managed service). ● Capture lessons learned, root-cause analysis, and stabilization reports for continuous improvement. Stakeholder and Communication Management: ● Serve as the single point of contact for cutover and hypercare activities. ● Work in collaboration with the project OCM team to deliver and socialize elements of the Hypercare Support plan to all stakeholders. ● Provide clear reporting and progress updates to the Project Office and Business Sponsors. ● Ensure alignment with external system owners (Salesforce, Workday, custom broadcast applications) on cutover dependencies. ● Communicate status, impacts, and decision points to all stakeholders in a clear and timely manner. ● Manage communication to end-users on system availability, downtime, and post-Go-Live support. Governance and Quality: ● Lead readiness checkpoints and go/no-go reviews with project and executive leadership. ● Identify, monitor, and mitigate cutover and post-go-live risks and dependencies. ● Define and monitor success metrics for cutover and hypercare performance. ● Maintain compliance with internal audit, IT security, and data governance standards. ● Participate in risk and issue management processes, identifying mitigations early. Service Requirements – Qualifications: Essential: ● 10 years of ERP program experience, including 3–5 full lifecycle cutovers for Oracle Cloud ERP, SAP, or equivalent enterprise systems. ● Demonstrated success leading cutover and hypercare phases in multi-stream, multi-integration ERP programs. ● Strong understanding of Oracle Fusion ERP modules (particularly Supply Chain Management (SCM), ERP (finance, project management, capital assets), and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM). ● Experience with complex integration landscapes (e.g., Salesforce, Workday, custom applications) and adept at building consensus in a landscape that involves multiple key stakeholders with varying objectives. ● Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills across technical and business domains. ● Proficiency in project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent).
