Description Doctors Manitoba is seeking a skilled Microsoft 365 & SharePoint Specialist to manage, maintain, and optimize our SharePoint Online environment as part of Microsoft 365. This role is responsible for day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless collaboration, secure access, effective governance, and integration with Teams and other Microsoft 365 services. This hybrid role blends technical administration with strategic oversight of digital collaboration, data protection, and security coordination. Key Responsibilities SharePoint & Microsoft 365 Administration Design, build, and manage SharePoint Online sites, libraries, and permissions. Create and configure new sites, subsites, and site collections. Manage navigation, hubs, and site settings, apply site templates for consistency Manage permissions, groups, and role-based access Apply conditional access or sensitivity labels for data protection Build workflows with Power Automate Configure approvals, notifications, and business processes Monitor flow execution and troubleshoot failures Integrate SharePoint with Teams and Power BI / Power Apps Establish and implement document management best practices, including metadata, retention, and compliance. Administer Teams, OneDrive, and other M365 apps to improve collaboration and secure data access. Cybersecurity & Security Oversight Collaborate with external IT partners to ensure proper endpoint protection using SentinelOne and other tools. Support the development and implementation of cybersecurity policies across Microsoft 365, including MFA, Conditional Access, DLP, and device compliance. Coordinate incident response and reporting with managed service providers (MSPs), ensuring alignment with internal processes and documentation. Contribute to overall IT security planning and awareness initiatives across the organization. Information Governance Develop and implement file naming conventions, retention policies, and access controls. Support the use of Microsoft Purview and the Microsoft 365 compliance center for auditing, data loss prevention, and sensitivity labeling. Training & Support Provide training and documentation to staff on SharePoint, file governance, and security best practices. Serve as a resource for troubleshooting M365 collaboration and security-related configuration issues. Qualifications Required: 5 years of experience as a SharePoint Online / Microsoft 365 Administrator Strong knowledge of SharePoint architecture, permissions, and governance Familiarity with Teams integration, Power Automate, and Power Apps. Familiarity with endpoint protection and collaboration with external cybersecurity partners Experience with Microsoft 365 security and compliance configuration. Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to engage across departments and with third-party providers. Certifications in Microsoft 365 (e.g. MS-102, SC-200, SC-300, PL-200). Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps). Preferred: Experience with Linux systems is considered an asset. Knowledge of Zero Trust principles. Work Environment Typical working conditions include daytime hours and occasional weekend and evening work at our 20 Desjardins Drive office in Winnipeg.
