Software Developer

RINA is currently recruiting for a Software Developer to join its office in Napoli within the Digital Technology and Cybersecurity Division. Mission Back End Developers deal with the server-side logic, databases, and the overall functionality of a website or web application. They are responsible for handling data, managing user authentication, and ensuring the server runs smoothly to deliver the required functionality to the front end. Key Accountabilities Design, develop, and maintain server-side logic, databases, and APIs to support front-end functionality. Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. Implement data security and protection measures to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of information. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability, considering performance and responsiveness aspects. Troubleshoot and debug issues, providing effective solutions to address back-end technical problems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and contribute to overall system architecture. Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in back-end development to enhance skills and bring innovative solutions to the team. Conduct code reviews, offer constructive feedback, and work with team members to improve code quality. Education Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering Qualifications Proven experience as a Back End Web Developer or similar role. Proficiency in server-side programming languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, PHP, or Node.js. Experience with database management systems, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB. Familiarity with RESTful API development and integration. Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative coding practices. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to writing clean and maintainable code. Effective communication and collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Understanding of microservices architecture. Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of serverless computing. Previous experience with CI / CD pipelines.
