SCCM Engineer

Job Title: SCCM Engineer Experience Level: 3–5 Years Location: Toronto, Ontario Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled SCCM Engineer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in managing and maintaining Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, deploying, and troubleshooting packages, applications, software updates, and task sequences, while also supporting client-side issues and scripting automation using PowerShell. Key Responsibilities: • Package & Application Management: o Create, deploy, and troubleshoot SCCM packages and applications. • Patch Management: o Create, deploy, and troubleshoot monthly software updates for patch distribution. • OS Deployment: o Create, deploy, and troubleshoot task sequences for operating system deployment. • Client Troubleshooting: o Resolve client-side issues including deployment failures, PXE boot problems, and communication errors. • Scripting & Automation: o Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate SCCM tasks and enhance operational efficiency. • Infrastructure Understanding: o Demonstrate a solid understanding of SCCM architecture including site roles, boundaries, and distribution points. • Advanced Features: o Work with Alternate Content Providers (ACP) to optimize content delivery. o Configure and manage Cloud Management Gateway (CMG) for remote device management. o Integrate Microsoft Intune with SCCM for hybrid device management. Required Skills & Qualifications: • 3–5 years of experience in SCCM administration and support. • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting. • Strong troubleshooting skills across SCCM components and client systems. • Experience with CMG, ACP, and Intune integration. • Good understanding of Windows OS and networking fundamentals. • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
