Position: Head of AI Type: Permanent, full-time Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite) Our client is an industry leader at the intersection of AI innovation, computer vision, and immersive technology , powering next-generation experiences for some of the world’s most recognized consumer brands. They’re seeking a Head of AI to lead a world-class team of scientists and engineers focused on advancing the state of AI in areas such as computer vision, generative AI, natural language processing, and 3D simulation . This is a rare opportunity to shape groundbreaking research that blends creativity, science, and large-scale product impact . Your new role: Lead and mentor a high-performing team of AI/ML researchers, driving innovation across multiple product lines. Develop and execute a forward-looking AI research roadmap aligned with strategic business goals. Guide the exploration of transformative AI technologies — from diffusion models and transformers to multimodal generative models. Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and R&D teams to translate research into real-world applications. Represent the company within the AI research community — contributing to papers, patents, and thought leadership. What you bring: PhD or MSc in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field. 10 years of experience in AI research, with proven leadership of technical teams. Deep expertise in machine learning, computer vision, NLP, and/or generative AI . Strong publication record (CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, or equivalent). Ability to communicate complex research concepts to both technical and business stakeholders.
