Certified Industrial Electrician

Our client in the manufacturing sector is seeking a Certified Industrial Electrician on a fulltime/permanent basis. Location: Belleville, Ontario JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, implementing effective solutions. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and electrical codes. Collaborate with other maintenance and engineering team members to optimize production processes. Maintain accurate records of all electrical work performed. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service. SHIFT WORK: 2 weeks on days (7am-7pm), then 2 weeks on nights (7pm-7am). QUALIFICATIONS: Red Seal Occupational Standard Industrial Electrician Certification is required (MANDATORY) MUST BE ACCEPTING OF SHIFT WORK (see above) Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s license (or equivalent). Minimum of 4 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
