Responsibilities Deliver on-site technical support for parking systems across municipal, institutional, and commercial sectors in Southern Ontario. A company vehicle and gas card are provided. Conduct in-shop repairs on a variety of electronic, mechanical, and computer-based products. Provide customer support via telephone and remote desktop tools. Assist in the installation, configuration, testing, training, and commissioning of new WPS parking system projects. Support quality control testing and product development during beta and site trial phases. Prepare equipment and software for deployment. Perform occasional out-of-town service calls across Ontario. Participate in an on-call rotation, providing after-hours support (Monday–Friday: 5 PM–9 PM; Weekends: 8 AM–9 PM). Technicians are on-call for two weeks every two months and receive a daily on-call service rate. Work overtime as required to complete assignments, with additional hours exceeding 44 per week compensated at an overtime premium rate. Qualifications Diploma in Electronics Technician/Engineering Technologist or Computer Engineering Technician/Technologist from an accredited institution. 3 years of hands-on experience or working knowledge in the following areas: Windows and Linux computer servers and workstations. Operating system fundamentals (Windows and Linux). MS-SQL database engines. Programming in C++ and JavaScript. Networking essentials (routing and switching). Electronic circuits, programmable logic controllers, relay logic, and electric motor control systems. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Valid driver’s license (abstract required). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Minimum of 3 years of field experience in a similar role, preferably in related industries such as security systems, building controls, or video camera systems.
