Every year, Multy Home diverts 3 million tires and 15 million water bottles from landfill. We create beautiful, eco-friendly, useful outdoor living products. Reporting to the Director of Business Intelligence & IT, the IT-Manager will lead our technology function's evolution from a support service to a strategic business driver. This role is responsible for managing a technical team and our global IT infrastructure, while proactively partnering with all business leaders to drive efficiency and innovation. The ideal candidate will champion emerging technologies, such as AI and automation, to solve complex challenges and will balance a long-term strategic vision with a hands-on, lead-from-the-front execution style. Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities Develop Technology Roadmap: Partner with executive and operational leadership to create and execute a forward-thinking IT strategy that directly supports manufacturing, distribution, and overall business goals. Champion Automation & AI: Actively identify, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies, particularly in AI and process automation, to enhance efficiency, and reduce manual tasks. Lead Business System Transformation: Steer critical technology projects ensuring they meet business requirements and deliver measurable value. Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for the purpose of automating IT administration, system integrations, and process workflows. Travel for Site Collaboration: Ability to travel as required to national and international manufacturing/distribution sites to collaborate with business leaders and oversee key technology implementations. Oversee Global Infrastructure: Manage the entire IT ecosystem—including networks, servers, and cybersecurity—to ensure a secure, scalable, and highly available environment across the global Multy footprint, including the coordination of support efforts across time zones. Manage Key Business Platforms: Ensure stability, performance, and ongoing support for critical platforms, including our global websites and internal Audio-Visual (AV) systems. Implement IT Risk Management: Lead IT risk management practices, conducting regular system audits and vulnerability assessments to proactively identify threats and ensure the integrity of business data. Lead IT Procurement & Financials: Drive the entire IT procurement process, from vendor selection to contract negotiation. Manage IT CAPEX and operational budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities. Manage Network & Security Hardware: Take ownership of the core network and physical security infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, access control systems, and video surveillance (CCTV) cameras to safeguard company assets. Optimize Licensing & Tools: Conduct ongoing audits of software licensing and subscriptions, continuously evaluating new market tools to drive cost savings and enhance business capabilities. Ensure Compliance & Security: Develop and maintain IT policies, disaster recovery plans, and KPIs. Ensure adherence to all regulatory and audit requirements (e.g., PIPEDA, GDPR, HIPAA or CCPA, as applicable) Directly lead a small and highly functional team of technical resources including in-house and specialist 3rd party partners Mentor a High-Performing Team: Lead, develop, and mentor IT staff, fostering a culture of proactive business partnership, continuous learning, and innovative problem-solving. Drive Service Excellence: Establish a customer-centric approach to IT support, ensuring the team is responsive and aligned with the urgent demands of the business. Qualifications 10 years of experience in IT management, including 5 years in a leadership position, with a strong preference for experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment. Proven track record of leading and mentoring a high-performing technical team. Demonstrable experience managing the full lifecycle of complex IT projects, such as automation initiatives, or major infrastructure upgrades. Hands-on experience developing and managing IT budgets, CAPEX requests, and vendor contracts. Flexibility to support critical 24/7 business operations as needed.
