Job Description

Private Client Solicitor sought to join the Estates Team of a leading regional law firm. The Opportunity Spirehouse is working with a respected firm with a strong presence across the West Midlands to recruit within their Estate Administration Team. The firm are known for providing exceptional legal services to businesses and individuals, and a supportive, down-to-earth culture. The Role To take responsibility for a varied caseload of estate files to include taxable and non-taxable estates. Manage estates that are often high in value and that include trust structures e.g. discretionary wills, and life interest trust wills. Preparation of IHT returns and inheritance tax allowances to include the nil rate band and the transferable nil rate band. Maintenance and preparation of estate accounts. Strong career progression opportunities Requirements Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) or Legal Executive with 3 years PQE Good working knowledge of the Probate Registry systems & Inland Revenue processes and procedures Working understanding of will validity and interpretation.
