Estimator – Roofing & Facades Location: London / South East (Hybrid or Office Based) Salary: Competitive, depending on experience and employment type (Full-time, Permanent, or Freelance) Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent or Freelance About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator to join a growing specialist contractor within the roofing and façade sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing tenders from initial enquiry through to submission and handover, working closely with senior management and project teams. You’ll play a key role in securing future projects and contributing to the continued commercial growth of the business. Key Responsibilities * Reviewing tender enquiries, specifications, and drawings for roofing and façade packages * Preparing detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and take-offs * Liaising with clients, main contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors * Managing tender deadlines and ensuring submissions are complete and compliant * Producing value engineering options and risk assessments where required * Supporting post-tender clarifications and handovers to the contracts team * Maintaining accurate cost databases and supplier information About You You’ll be a motivated, methodical professional with a strong background in roofing, cladding, or façade estimating. Essential: * Proven experience estimating roofing and/or façade packages * Strong technical understanding of materials and systems (e.g. zinc, rainscreen, SFS, flat roofing, etc.) * Confident using estimating software and Excel-based take-off tools * Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail * Strong communication and organisational skills Desirable: * Experience with Design & Build projects * Knowledge of current Building Regulations and façade compliance standards * Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management What’s on Offer * Competitive salary or day rate (depending on experience and employment type) * Opportunities for career progression as the business grows * Supportive working environment with access to senior decision-makers * Hybrid/flexible working arrangements (office and site visits as required) * Company pension scheme * Generous holiday entitlement Why Join This is a genuine opportunity to make your mark within a dynamic, forward-thinking contractor.
