Fabric Engineer – Midlothian | £34,000 Van Benefits Location: Midlothian (mobile role) Sector: Facilities Management / Maintenance Salary: £34,000 per annum company van benefits The Role FM Search & Select are working with a leading Facilities Management company looking for an experienced and proactive Fabric Engineer to join their team covering Midlothian and the surrounding areas. This is a mobile position carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of commercial and public sector sites. The role is ideal for someone with strong all-round building fabric and maintenance skills who takes pride in delivering a high standard of work and customer service. Key Responsibilities * Carry out fabric maintenance, repairs, and general building works (e.g. joinery, basic plumbing). * Complete reactive repairs and PPM tasks across multiple sites. * Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company standards. * Liaise with site staff and clients, providing excellent communication and service. * Maintain accurate records of completed work using handheld devices or paperwork. Skills & Experience Required * Proven experience as a fabric engineer within facilities or building maintenance. * Strong multi-skilled background across joinery, plumbing or general maintenance. * Comfortable working independently on a mobile basis. * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. * Must pass a Disclosure Scotland check. * Full UK driving licence required.
