Adults Residential Support Worker

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Residential Support Worker to join the Adult Services team at Calderdale Council, supporting individuals with Mental Health needs, Learning Disabilities and Physical Disabilities. This is a temporary contract for 3 months with a view to extend, working on a shift basis including weekends and sleep ins. Key Responsibilities * Encourage independence, life skills development, and community engagement. * Maintain accurate daily records and report any concerns to senior staff. * Support residents with household tasks, meal preparation, and recreational activities. * Ensure a safe and supportive environment, promoting dignity and respect at all times. Requirements * Previous experience working within Adults’ Residential Services, particularly Mental Health, Learning Disabilities or Disabilities. * Must hold a full UK driving licence and own a vehicle with valid business insurance (essential). Shift Patterns A variety of shifts are available on a 4-week rolling rota: * Sleep-in shift: 12:00 pm – 11:00 pm, followed by 7:00 am – 12:30 pm * Day shifts: * 8:30 am – 4:00 pm * 9:00 am – 4:30 pm * 1:00 pm – 8:30 pm Rota pattern: 1 weekend on, 1 weekend off, with approximately 4–5 sleep-ins per month required.
