Junior Estimator / Estimator Glasgow Permanent | Competitive Salary | Construction Sector A respected construction contractor based in Glasgow is seeking a motivated Junior Estimator / Estimator to join their growing commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career with a well-established main contractor delivering a wide range of projects across sectors including commercial, residential, and refurbishment. The Role: Working as part of the pre-construction team, you’ll support the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for new build, refurbishment, and fit-out projects. This position offers exposure to all stages of the estimating process and the chance to learn directly from experienced professionals. Key Responsibilities: Assisting in the preparation of tender and cost estimates Taking off quantities and producing accurate bills of quantities Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project documentation Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers for quotations Supporting value engineering and cost analysis exercises Working closely with project and commercial teams to ensure successful project delivery About You: Ideally degree-qualified (or equivalent experience) in Estimating, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline Previous estimating experience within a construction environment (junior or intermediate level) Strong numerical and analytical skills with good attention to detail Excellent communication and IT skills (including Excel and estimating software) A proactive attitude and willingness to learn What’s on Offer: Competitive salary and benefits package Ongoing training and development opportunities Supportive team environment within a growing contractor Clear progression path If you’re looking to take the next step in your estimating career with a dynamic and reputable construction company, we’d love to hear from you.
