Job Description

OB SUMMARYThe Service Representative is a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) specialist. They ensure customer satisfaction by providing on-site support, including order replenishment, product organization, Lean methodology (6S), equipment maintenance, and more. This role collaborates with sales and development teams to drive revenue and growth through solutions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESStrengthens MSC customer loyalty by supporting and promoting solutions.Collaborates with MSC's customer solutions and sales teams.Tasked with organizing, enhancing relationships, and exceeding customer expectations.Maintains the 6S appearance of all solution equipment.Ensures appropriate min/max stock levels are maintained.Unpacks, receives, and organizes products at points of use.Communicates with the customer contact to ensure solution follow-up.Drives product expansion through impulse purchases and solution growth.Leads 100% compliance in safety engagement for the VMIS team.Repairs and maintains distribution equipment according to company standards.Supports shared profitability goals within assigned accounts.Keeps up-to-date knowledge of all inventory management solutions.Builds productive professional relationships with key contacts at assigned customer sites.Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction in line with company standards.Uses planning tools to adhere to scheduling requirements.Manages daily time through MSC-approved applications.Promotes MSC culture within the department and across the company to support MSC's vision.Participates in special projects and performs additional tasks as needed. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Experience in inventory management or customer service is an asset.SKILLSExcellent customer service skills required.Strong verbal and written communication skills required.Proficiency in computer use and Microsoft Office applications required.Strong time management and organizational skills required.OTHER REQUIREMENTSValid driver's license required.Daily travel within the assigned territory over 80% of the time.Occasional overnight travel required.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) required.Ability to walk, lift, bend, stretch, and stand for extended periods required.Compliance with customer safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.COMPENSATIONThe salary range is based on similar roles in comparable industries and local labor costs. Actual compensation depends on experience, education, and pay equity. The company reserves the right to adjust this range based on market conditions.EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONSCandidates must be authorized to work full-time in Canada.
