Job Description

I am looking for an inventory analyst for my client located in the east end of the island near a metro station, working 40 hours a week on a hybrid schedule.Responsibilities:Inventory Accounting and ReconciliationValidation of production before reporting (consumption, quantities reported).Perform monthly accounting entries related to inventory.Reconcile inventory across multiple warehouses.Validate production and warehouse provisions, including intercompany inventory.Inventory Analysis and ReportingConduct monthly and annual inventory analyses, including obsolescence and count planning.Analysis of production variances, explanation of major discrepancies, and suggestion of corrections if material.Prepare and validate reports for products in transit, products invoiced by PO, and warehouse transfers or products awaiting credit.Support the execution and finalization of annual inventory counts for multiple locations.Process Monitoring and ImprovementTrack and validate order receipts, pricing, and items in transit.Collaborate with AP Stock and IT to resolve system issues and test new deployments.Identify and implement process improvement and automation opportunities.Stakeholder CollaborationCollaborate with controllers and various teams to resolve complex inventory issues.Respond to CCM requests and support monthly cost validations.Communicate with entities to ensure timely receipt of invoices and inventory documents.Manage daily inventory-related communications and emails.Contribute to the budget (P&L, but especially at the revenue/BOM level, standard cost, quantity, indirect costs).Maintain documentation and support audit and compliance requirements.Technical SkillsRequiredAnalytical mindset and attention to detail.Continuous improvement drive with an interest in automation.Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Interpersonal and communication skills in English and French.Personal AttributesRequiredAbility to work independently and collaboratively.Ability to adapt to change.Team player with a proactive approach.General CriteriaRequiredUniversity degree in accounting, finance, supply chain, or a related field.5-10 years of experience in inventory accounting or financial analysis.Good understanding of general ledger processes and intercompany transactions.Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Cognos, Microsoft Dynamics).Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel (advanced pivot table and linking skills) and other Microsoft Office products.Bilingual (French/English) preferred, communication with other provinces
