Stationary Machinery Mechanic (contract with strong possibility of permanent position)

Our client, a company in the industrial sector, is looking for a stationary machinery mechanic for its service center in Montreal.Under the supervision of the maintenance manager, the stationary machinery mechanic will respond to maintenance service needs. More specifically, he or she will be responsible for water treatment, hot and cold glue systems, oil chambers, and the assembly and disassembly of pumps, boilers, and various pipes. He or she will also be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of various factory equipment and machinery.Schedule: 8 hours/day Work location: Montreal, La Savane metro stationSalary: $35.53/hourResponsibilities:- Analyze and treat boiler water- Operate the boiler properly and efficiently- Perform compressor maintenance- Maintain ventilation and refrigeration air filters- Detect problems and suggest solutions- Perform preventive maintenance on the premises and fixed machinery equipment- Comply with environmental standards- Comply with requirements related to health and safety, the use of chemicals (GHS), good industrial practices, and the HACCP quality system- Perform plumbing work- Lubricate production machineryRequired profile:- Vocational diploma in stationary machinery mechanics or other related fields- Class 4 stationary machinery mechanic certification- One to three years of experience in a similar position - Ability to work well under pressure- Good organizational skills and strong analytical abilities - Resourcefulness and autonomy - Recognized as a good team player- Basic computer skills
