Description Gastroenterology Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) Sign On Bonus $10,000k (Irritable Bowel Disease) Danbury Hospital, part of Nuvance Health, has an excellent opportunity for a full time Gastroenterology Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Danbury, CT. Come join us on our exciting journey as we grow the Digestive Health Institute at Nuvance Health by joining our Nuvance Health Medical Practice Gastroenterology Department. The position includes seeing patients both in the outpatient office and hospital, with a Monday-Friday workday schedule with no call responsibility. The ideal candidate will be a board certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with at least one year of experience in Internal Medicine and/or Gastroenterology, Irritable Bowel Disease preferred. This is an employed position that includes a comprehensive benefits package, as well as allowances for CMEs and Dues. Our employed Medical Group includes 1000 physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout eastern New York and western Connecticut. Job Requirements: Experience working with hepatobiliary services Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). New York State Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license. Federal DEA. Strong Interpersonal and communication skills. Internal Medicine or Gastroenterology experience preferred Our practice is affiliated with Danbury Hospital. Established in 1885, Danbury Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital providing Greater Danbury area residents convenient access to exceptional care. Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are associated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine. Our employed Medical Group includes 1000 physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.
