Maintenance Person

Reports to: Home Manager Starting date: 28/10/2025 MUST HAVE THE RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UK No COS available for this post. Maintenance Person required for: 15 hours per week Our Mother of Mercy Nursing Home, Newry Join our team as a Maintenance Person where you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. Responsibilities Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues promptly to minimise downtime Supervise fire drills for staff and coordinate schedules Uphold safety protocols and regulations in all maintenance activities Some light painting and decorating, basic plumbing and gardening skills required. Must have full UK driving licence. Experience Proficiency in English for effective communication with team members and vendors Strong customer service skills to interact with external contractors Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair various equipment types Familiarity with electrical systems and components Prior experience in maintenance is a plus If you are a proactive individual with a passion for maintaining equipment and ensuring operational efficiency, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding Maintenance Person position.
