We’re 100 years young and we need you Job summary The Loss Prevention Officer is a surveillance and security professional responsible for preventing damage and theft and protecting people, money, equipment, and merchandise. This role includes patrolling store aisles and monitoring customers, watching security camera footage, and responding to suspected incidents of theft. Requirements / Skills • Valid Provincial Security Guard licence • Experience in loss prevention techniques and processes • Strong attention to detail • Excellent conflict resolution capabilities • Ability to handle physical demands including standing/walking for 8 hours • Ability to work shifts (days, evenings, week-ends and holidays) • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations • Ability to find solutions to problems, adapt and cope with challenging situations and make difficult decisions • Effective written and oral communication skills • Basic computer skills Canadian Tire stores are owned and operated by independent Associate Dealers.
