We're looking for an experienced Canadian Payroll Manager to take the lead on payroll operations spanning multiple provinces. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader who values accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork — and is ready to shape and elevate a growing payroll function.As the Payroll Manager, you'll oversee a talented team of Payroll Administrators, ensuring payrolls are processed flawlessly while maintaining full compliance with all federal and provincial regulations. You'll act as both a trusted subject matter expert and an inspiring mentor — driving continuous improvement and supporting organizational success.What You'll DoLead and coach a team of Payroll Administrators, fostering growth, collaboration, and accountability.Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple provinces with precision and care.Ensure compliance with all legislative, union, and internal policies.Oversee statutory deductions, third-party remittances, and year-end reporting (T4s, T4As, T2200s, RL-1s, and taxable benefits).Maintain and optimize payroll systems (Dayforce experience is a strong asset).Partner closely with HR and Finance teams on audits, system integrations, and reporting.Create and analyze payroll reports and metrics to support key business decisions.Provide backup support and technical guidance across payroll-related platforms.What You BringProven experience managing Canadian payroll across multiple provinces.Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a passion for developing people.Deep understanding of payroll legislation, compliance, and best practices.Experience with Dayforce or similar HRIS/payroll systems.PCP or PLP designation preferred.- Proven experience in payroll management, including supervising teams and overseeing full-cycle payroll.- Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, statutory requirements, and union agreements.- Proficiency in payroll systems such as Dayforce, ADP Workforce Now, and Ceridian.- Familiarity with year-end reporting processes, including preparation of T4s, RL-1s, and other payroll documents.- Expertise in compliance, auditing, and internal controls for payroll operations.- Ability to generate and interpret payroll reports using tools like Crystal Reports.- Solid understanding of HR and accounting systems integration.- Effective leadership and communication skills to manage and mentor teams.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
