Captain

Under the supervision of the Deputy Chief of Operations of the NPS, the Captain is required to:Direct, coordinate and manage the activities of all personnel under their command.Oversee and ensure the effective delivery of police service operations within the assigned territory.Manage and account for human, financial, and material resources.Establish, maintain, and strengthen communication with local elected officials, community representatives, partner organizations, and the public.Implement adequate measures to respond to new challenges regarding crime, road safety and public perception of safety issues.Remain on-call outside of regular hours, on a rotating basis, to manage emergency operations.Travel regularly within Nunavik.Perform any other related duties as requested by her/his supervisor.
