Position : 195293 Expected Start Date: November 24, 2025 Union: HSAS Facility: Southwest Integrated Health Facility City/Town: Maple Creek Department: Ambulance - Land Type: Part-time regular FTE: 0.67 Shift Information: Days, Nights, Evenings, Weekends, Standby Hours of Work: shifts of hours per 4 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572 Travel Required: No Job Description: Reporting to the Southwest EMS Operations Manager the Emergency Medical Technician - Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) is responsible for responding to emergent and non-emergent EMS calls for service; and for providing initial assessment, treatment, stabilization and transport of ill or injured persons at the Basic Life Support level. The PCP will provide care with strict adherence to: Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) core values, policies, and work standards; Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) Paramedic Clinical Practice Protocols; The Paramedics Act and SCoP Regulatory and Administrative Bylaws; and The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement" Human Resources Exemption: No Education Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP) Licenses Registered Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic (EMT/PCP) Automated External Defibrillator Certificate (AED) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR) Valid Class 4 driver's license International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS) Competencies Advanced - Listening skills Advanced - Interpersonal skills Intermediate - Conflict resolution skills Knowledge and Abilities Ability to work independently Ability to function effectively in high stress and in emergency situations Positive approach to deal with challenging situations with empathy and sincerity Demonstrates the ability to be resourceful and to adapt to changing conditions Decision making through the application of clinical, legal & ethical practice Physical ability to perform the duties of the position Familiar with the SK Ministry of Health Ambulance Information System.
