Electronic Design Engineer

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation in the defence sector for a permanent engineer to join their Analogue and Digital Electronics Group. The role involves designing, developing, and delivering board-level analogue and digital electronics for defence products. Analogue and Digital Electronic Design Engineer Role Overview The successful candidate will undertake schematic capture, prototyping, functional testing and proving activities, and work closely with other teams to integrate electronics into the product. Circuit simulation and DFMEA techniques will be applied to ensure robust designs throughout the product lifecycle, from feasibility to production. Key Responsibilities Board-level analogue and digital design Schematic capture and prototyping Functional testing and validation Integration with multi-disciplinary teams Application of circuit simulation and DFMEA techniques Requirements Qualifications in Electronic Engineering, such as HND or degree level Experience in electronic design and development Knowledge of a range of electronic technologies Ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams Location & Working Pattern Stevenage, Hertfordshire; hybrid working circa 2–3 days on-site Salary & Benefits £42,000–£48,000 DOE plus paid overtime, flexi leave, annual bonus and other benefits Security and Nationality Due to the nature of work at our client’s site, these vacancies are only open to British Citizens (or holders of dual nationalities, of which one must be British) who hold SC clearance or can obtain it.
