The Role Our client is seeking a Design CAD Engineer with a civil engineering background to join their integrated design team. The successful candidate will support projects across the Yorkshire Water framework , from outline design through to detailed design, construction, and commissioning. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects, using the latest CAD & BIM technology , while developing professionally within a supportive team. Key Responsibilities ✔️ Producing 2D & 3D CAD drawings for civil and drainage design ✔️ Working with Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM360 and Civils 3D ✔️ Preparing design solutions, drawings, reports, calculations & estimates ✔️ Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients ✔️ Supporting surveys, data evaluation & GPS surveying (advantage) ✔️ Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, CDM regs, ISO 9001 ✔️ Staying updated with latest industry technologies & attending expos Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will have: ✅ Qualification as a CAD Engineer with civil design experience ✅ Strong knowledge of drainage design & water industry standards (WIMES, CIWEM, Sewer Sector Guidance) ✅ Experience with BIM integration & hydraulic design principles ✅ Excellent communication, teamwork & problem-solving skills ✅ A proactive mindset with willingness to learn & develop ✅ Full UK driving licence own transport ✨ Desirable: MEICA knowledge or surveying experience What’s on Offer Competitive salary (£30k–£45k DOE) Career development & CPD opportunities Inclusive & collaborative team culture ️ Exposure to latest CAD & BIM technologies ️ Opportunity to work on diverse, high-impact projects If you are a Design CAD Engineer seeking the next step in your career, apply today to be considered for this exciting opportunity with our client.
