Laboratory Technician

Are you a detail-driven lab technician with a passion for microbiology? We’re looking for someone to join our specialist team, carrying out Salmonella testing on poultry samples to support the poultry industry. What you’ll do: Receive, register, and prepare samples for testing Perform Salmonella testing (swabs, feed, tissues, faecal samples) Follow strict SOPs, biosafety rules, and ISO 17025 standards Record and report accurate results within tight deadlines Keep the lab safe, organised, and contamination-free What you’ll bring: 1–2 years’ lab experience (microbiology preferred) Strong aseptic technique and culture methods Knowledge of UKAS 17025 standards (essential) Salmonella or food microbiology experience (desirable) Accuracy, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently (including weekends) and in a team Why join us?
