Customer Compliance Officer (AML Executive)

Location: Bristol / Hybrid Salary: Competitive Benefits Contract Type: Permanent / Full-time About the Role: An established and forward-thinking professional services firm is seeking a Customer Compliance Officer to join its growing compliance function. This role is ideal for someone with experience in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and customer due diligence (CDD) who enjoys a mix of analytical work and direct client interaction. You’ll play a key part in ensuring that all customers meet the required regulatory and legal standards, guiding them through the compliance process from initial onboarding to ongoing verification. Key Responsibilities: Manage the end-to-end onboarding and AML verification process for new clients. Request, review, and verify customer documentation in line with AML regulations and internal procedures. Liaise directly with clients via email, telephone, and video calls to clarify and complete compliance requirements. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the CRM system throughout the customer lifecycle. Support revalidation processes for existing clients where information changes or periodic reviews are required. Collaborate with Sales, Account Management, and Customer Support teams to ensure a seamless client experience. Escalate any compliance concerns to the Compliance Manager and contribute to continuous process improvement. About You: Proven experience in AML, compliance, or a customer verification role. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and customer due diligence processes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional and approachable manner. Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail. Comfortable working independently and across teams in a fast-paced environment. Confident using CRM and related IT systems.
