Position : 202439 Expected Start Date: August 25, 2025 Union: HSAS Facility: Victoria Hospital City/Town: Prince Albert Department: General Surgical Nursing Unit Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Hours of Work: 14 shifts of 8 hours per 3 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band $51.10 to $62.50 (5 step range) Job Description: Physician Assistants (PAs) are academically and clinically educated medical generalist who practice medicine within a formalized relationship with a physician. Regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS), PAs collect and interpret medical information, make appropriate clinical decisions and carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within a formalized Physician/PA relationship agreement approved by the CPSS. Travel Required: Yes Human Resources Exemption: No Experience Clinical experience working as a PA in a related clinical field, is an asset Education Successful completion of a recognized accredited PA educational program Licenses Membership and Licensure in good standing with the CPSS as a Physician Assistant Certified with the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants Competencies Intermediate - Mobilizes people, inspires and leads by example Advanced - Technical skills Advanced - Communication skills Advanced - Interpersonal skills Intermediate - Computer skills Advanced - Analytical skills Knowledge and Abilities Ability to treat patients with compassion and empathy Demonstrated written and spoken competence in English language Ability to work independently Exemplifies ethical practices, professionalism and personal integrity Commitment to quality, safety, and improvement striving towards zero harm Commitment to a diverse, representative workforce and cultural safety Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Committed to delivering on patient and family centred care Other Information Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (PALS) an asset HSAS seniority in the SHA will be considered under the selection criteria Valid driver's license, where required For more information on the city of Prince Albert please visit https://www.citypa.ca Advanced Cardiac Life Support certificate (ACLS) an asset Current ATLS Certification (Advanced Trauma Life Support), is an asset Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement Standby may be required.
