Position: Director of Business Development - North AmericaLocation: Saint-LaurentSalary: $120K to $250KWe are seeking a driven and strategic Director of Business Development, North America to lead sales growth across major retail, distributor, and foodservice channels. This role requires a hands-on leader who combines strategic vision with execution, driving results through direct account management, broker oversight, and team leadership.Key Responsibilities:- Lead business development and account growth across North America, managing key customers including Costco, Walmart, Loblaws, Sobeys, Metro, independents, and pharmacy chains.- Oversee a sales structure that includes brokers (Canada, US, Mexico), distributors, and direct reports (R&D, Sales Coordinator, Sales Rep).- Build and expand partnerships with 3 major distributors and multiple regional partners.- Drive new revenue opportunities in retail channels - Collaborate with R&D and Marketing to bring customized products to market, ensuring launches are successful and aligned with customer needs.- Identify market gaps, analyze sales data, and implement strategies to maximize distribution, market share, and profitability.- Represent the company at 7-8 major tradeshows per year and travel (15-25%) across Canada, US, and Mexico to support sales reps, brokers, and customer visits.- Provide strong leadership, ensuring accountability and performance across all sales partners.Qualifications:- 8-12 years in sales/business development leadership within the food industry (or related: CPG, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, pharma).- Proven success managing major retail accounts (Costco or large North American grocery banners is required).- Strong experience overseeing brokers and distributors across multiple regions.- Expertise in product customization and customer-driven innovation.- Strategic, tenacious, and entrepreneurial — able to balance big-picture vision with hands-on execution.- Stable career track record with measurable results in driving growth.What We Offer:- Competitive base salary plus high-performance bonus structure.- Opportunity to shape the North American growth strategy of a fast-moving manufacturer.- A role that combines strategic leadership with tangible execution, directly impacting company success.To apply, please send your resume to Jill Kalakay at jillk@quantum.ca.REFER A PERM HIRE AND EARN UP TO $1,000!
