Position : 156103 Expected Start Date: To Be Determined Union: SUN Facility: Battlefords Union Hospital City/Town: North Battleford Department: General Surgical Nursing Unit Type: Full-time temporary Expected Up to Date: October 5, 2026 FTE: 1 Hours of Work: 14 shifts of 8 hours per 3 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse B $42.040 to $52.440 Travel Required: No Job Description: The Clinical Resource Nurse is responsible for promoting the Mission, Vision and Values of the Saskatchewan Health Authority through the provision of safe quality nursing care to clients. The Clinical Resource Nurse educates mentors and supports unit staff, promotes patient safety, occupational health and safety and quality improvement on the unit. The Clinical Resource Nurse is an experienced nurse who is responsible for Surgical, Outpatient Day Surgery, CAPP, AMS, Endoscopy, Operating Room and Post Anesthetic Care nursing education and other areas that are deemed necessary directed by the Nurse Manager of Surgery. The Clinical Resource Nurse will remain competent with ongoing Professional Development and Continuing Education. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience Minimum of three to five years working in an acute care setting Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Perioperative Nursing/Registered Nurses advanced certificate Other Education and Training Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS) Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS) Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS) Competencies Basic - Research skills Advanced - Assessment skills Basic - Communication skills Basic - Interpersonal skills Basic - Leadership skills Basic - Capability to transform systems: Champion and orchestrate change Knowledge and Abilities Ability to adapt to and implement change Ability to be flexible and willing to change Other Information Obtain PALS Instructor certification within six (6) months of hire date Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) For more information on the city of North Battleford please visit https://www.cityofnb.ca/ Willingness to obtain CPR Instructor within one (1) year May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives
