As a collaborative data scientist with a willingness to learn, you’ll work with a great team of specialists to innovate and develop new sustainability measures for agricultural finance. What you’ll do Examine methodologies to enhance climate resilience, promote nature-positive activities and reduce emissions Use advanced analytics techniques to unlock insights from agri-environmental and economic data using geospatial tools and modelling programs such as AWS SageMaker Choose appropriate ways to tell the story through words, visualizations and interpretation What we’re looking for Creative thinker with proven research, analytical and problem-solving skills The ability to consistently apply rigour to data analysis to drive insights Relationship-builder who uses collaboration to find the best solutions What you’ll need A bachelor’s degree in agriculture, finance, business, economics, mathematics, statistics or computer science and at least four years of experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) High proficiency in geospatial and analytics tools including, but not limited to, AWS environment, R and Python Knowledge of the Canadian agriculture and food industry is an asset You belong here At FCC, we’re committed to creating an inclusive, equitable and accessible workplace - one that reflects the communities where we live, work and play.
