Labor & Delivery RN Job Details – Mesquite, TX Location: Mesquite, TX 75149 (Dallas-Fort Worth area) Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 21, 2025 – December 20, 2025) Unit: Labor & Delivery (L&D) Setting: On-Site Hospital Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45 PM – 7:00 AM) Hours: 36 hours per week (3x12-hour shifts) Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,570 – $1,680 Charting System: EPIC Scrubs: Navy or Royal Blue Registered Nurse Qualifications Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (Nursys verification required) Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Labor & Delivery RN Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (American Heart Association preferred) Basic or AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification preferred BSN degree preferred Experience with postpartum care and vaginal examinations is a plus Resume, skills checklist, and two professional references required Ability to provide care for COVID-19 patients as needed Compliance with all onboarding health and background requirements (drug screening, immunizations, etc.) Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a fast-paced clinical setting Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, including fetal monitoring and postpartum assessments Assist with vaginal deliveries and provide postpartum nursing care Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes Accurately document patient care using the EPIC electronic health record system Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients and their families Discover rewarding travel nursing jobs in Texas and experience the best of Mesquite—a friendly city with a strong sense of community, excellent dining, and close proximity to Dallas healthcare opportunities.
