Interim Waste and Environment Programme Manager

Starfish Search are working with a local authority in the South of England to appoint an Interim Waste and Environment Programme Manager. This role will lead a major modernisation programme focused on transforming operational delivery, driving cultural change, and embedding digital innovation to ensure services are efficient, compliant, and customer-focused. Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership to deliver transformation across Environmental and Waste Services. Lead operational, cultural, and digital change initiatives to modernise and future-proof services. Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure collaboration and alignment. Drive efficiencies and service redesign to improve performance and customer satisfaction. Ensure compliance and best practice across all areas of waste and environmental service delivery Requirements: Proven experience delivering large-scale transformation within local government or the wider public sector. Strong background in environmental and waste services. Track record of successfully managing complex programmes and multidisciplinary teams. Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
