Restructuring & Bankruptcy Associate (1–3 PQE) – Leading International Law Firm Are you a junior restructuring lawyer looking to accelerate your career within a globally recognised platform? I’m recruiting on behalf of a leading US law firm seeking a talented England & Wales qualified associate (1–3 PQE) to join its high-performing Restructuring & Bankruptcy team in London. About the Team: The firm’s London-based restructuring practice is known for its work on complex, cross-border special situations and insolvency matters. The team advises a diverse client base across key financing instruments including bank loans, high-yield debt, and intercreditor arrangements, often working across multiple jurisdictions. The Role: You will: Advise on a broad range of restructuring and insolvency matters, including distressed financings, enforcement strategies, and formal insolvency proceedings Work on high-profile, multi-jurisdictional mandates alongside leading practitioners Draft and negotiate complex documentation with precision and commercial awareness Take ownership of matters and contribute to transaction strategy and execution Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas and international offices Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives About You: England & Wales qualified solicitor with 1–3 years’ PQE in restructuring and insolvency Strong experience across special situations and financing instruments (bank loans, high-yield, intercreditor) Exposure to cross-border matters and restructuring-related proceedings Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with a proactive and collaborative mindset Intellectually strong, commercially astute, and enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced, international environment To Apply: For a confidential discussion, please contact James Cockerill at Taylor Root via jamescockerill@taylorroot.com or message directly on LinkedIn.
