Job Overview: A Duality Healthcare Assistant supports clinicians in delivering high quality patient care across a range of services including blood tests, ECGs, wellness checks, and routine observations. The role will involve assisting with clinical procedures, providing essential administrative support, and ensuring a seamless patient experience, all while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices. Key Responsibilities: Chaperoning and assisting GPs and Consultants Phlebotomy the taking of, labelling and sending of blood, urine and stool samples according to clinic protocols and laboratory requirements Measurement and recording of patient physiological demographics automated blood pressure, height, weight, waist/chest circumference and other measurements ECG Monitoring Urine testing dipstick and pregnancy testing Clinical duties including preparation of patient documentation, filing of notes, clinical proforma and booking of appointments Cleaning and preparation of clinical areas e.g. consultation rooms (including equipment) and work in conjunction with the medical team and management to ensure a safe and clean environment is maintained Removal of waste (including secured sharps bins) from consultation rooms, in accordance with processes and procedures. Assisting in the maintenance of stock levels by unpacking all stock orders and storing in designated area, and carrying out monthly stock check Ensure consultation rooms are prepared for each clinic e.g. clean, PPE replenished, patients forms and files updated. Qualifications & Experience Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant (Desirable, not essential) First Aid & Basic Life support training Understanding of medical terminology and healthcare procedures Full compliance with occupational health requirements, including vaccinations Strong communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently as well as part of a team What we offer Competitive hourly rates salary £13.50 per hour Flexible working hours A supportive and collaborative work environment Potential for growth within the organisation Training and development This post is subject to a 6 month assessment of business needs and performance review.
