Operations Manager - Childrens Services Permanent Walsall - office and field based £50,000 - £55,000 Job Summary My client is looking for a strong, reputable Operations Manager to join their team and take on this exciting new position. This role comes at a time when their organisation is looking to grow and expand and is therefore recruiting a new senior manager to oversee the current services, as well as to play an integral part in opening and supporting new services. As Operations Manager, you will be reporting directly to the Director, Head of Safeguarding and Head of Operations, and you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the registered / home managers of the services throughout West Midlands. It will be your responsibility to provide support and advice to the registered managers where needed, whilst ensuring that all homes meet the minimum standard of ‘Good’. Duties Creating and implementing improvement / performance plans for the different homes Conducting supervisions with Registered/ Home Managers Deliver management development sessions and support mangers through CQC/Ofsted Registration process and PIR documentation Support with action plans from audits / mock inspections Support with Safeguarding / Investigations & Sickness review meetings Work closely with the referral department to conduct referral assessments Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing local authorities Being available to travel to different homes when needed Requirements Level 5 NVQ in Leadership and Management (or equivalent) (Social Care) At least 5 years’ experience at either a senior Registered Manager position or Operational role within residential Children’s services (adult services will also be considered) A sound understanding of Ofsted & CQC and all safeguarding requirements for residential services. Your own form of transport and a full UK driving licence Proven Operational / Business development understanding from previous roles.
