We specialise in Contestable Works up to 132kV , with capability to deliver projects on National Grid infrastructure up to 400kV . We're currently working on a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project at Staythorpe and are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Construction Supervisor to oversee and coordinate on-site delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business playing a key role in the UK's energy transition. The Role As an Electrical Site Construction Supervisor , you'll be responsible for supervising electrical installation works (LV/HV) on-site, ensuring all activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You'll work closely with the Project Manager, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure delivery is “ right first time .” Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate LV/HV electrical installation works . Oversee installation of switchgear, transformers, earthing, ducting, protection systems, and wiring . Interpret and deliver works to electrical drawings and DNO specifications (e.g., G81) . Manage and inspect above and below-ground installations . Support electrical testing, commissioning, and quality checks . Review RAMS and subcontractor documentation , ensuring compliance with scope of works. Provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager. Ensure compliance with NRSWA Section 50, NJUG guidelines, CDM regulations, HSG47, and health & safety standards . What We're Looking For 5 years' experience in LV/HV electrical installations (HV essential). Strong background with switchgear, transformers, substations, and generators . Knowledge of DNO standards, G81 specifications, and industry best practices . Experience supervising subcontractors on technical electrical site works . Strong understanding of health & safety legislation (CDM, HSG47, etc.). Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) . Experience with works up to 132kV (preferred). Familiarity with DNO authorisations and SAP processes (desirable).
