Job Description
Job Title: Lead Mechanical Design and Analysis Engineer Complex Aerospace, Energy & Defence Projects Permanent & Contract Location: Dorking, Surrey, UK FLYTE are partnered with a consultancy based in Dorking that specialise in delivering world-class engineering expertise to clients across high-tech and challenging sectors. With a reputation for excellence in design and analysis, they work closely with high profile customers in industries such as space, aerospace, nuclear, marine, gas turbines, green energy, defence, and research. After a record 2024 and start to 2025, and success with winning several new long term projects, they’re looking to grow their team with the appointment of a a highly technical lead mechanical design and development engineer to take responsibility for the following: Lead the design and development of mechanical systems and components, using advanced CAD tools (NX). Utilise core mechanical engineering skills (GD&T, tolerance analysis, hand calcs, first principles). Conduct detailed structural, thermal, and dynamic analysis using FEA, CFD, and other simulation tools to ensure the reliability and performance of designs. Provide innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges, ensuring designs meet all requirements for safety, performance, and cost-effectiveness. Interface with clients to understand their needs, present technical solutions, and provide ongoing support throughout the project lifecycle. Ready to take FLYTE?
