Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer (Electrical Bias) Location: Peterborough | Contract: Full-time | Shifts: 5-week rotating pattern We are seeking a qualified and motivated Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join our engineering team at a flagship data centre in Peterborough. This role plays a key part in maintaining the critical infrastructure that supports 24/7 operations. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems. Diagnose faults and perform repairs to ensure system reliability and uptime. Support minor system upgrades and installations. Ensure all maintenance work meets statutory and technical compliance standards. Monitor plant performance and take corrective action as needed. Maintain accurate records and documentation. Liaise with contractors and suppliers when necessary. Promote a safe and compliant working environment. Candidate Profile Strong background in both electrical and mechanical maintenance (electrical bias). Experience in critical environments (e.g. data centres, hospitals, commercial buildings). NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering. Up-to-date electrical certifications (e.g. BS 7671). Familiar with Permit to Work systems and safe systems of work. Knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems is advantageous. Strong fault-finding and decision-making skills. Commitment to safety, compliance, and high service standards.
