Sr Systems Engineer- Maritime Systems

We’re looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to lead the technical definition, integration, and delivery of subsystems within next-generation naval platforms. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role where you’ll shape architecture, define interfaces, and drive integration readiness across complex engineering domains. What You’ll Be Doing: Lead the technical development of assigned subsystems, from architecture through to integration and verification. Define and manage interfaces, behaviours, and verification strategies to ensure system-level alignment. Collaborate across disciplines—mechanical, electrical, software, and control—to deliver cohesive, integrated solutions. Proactively manage technical dependencies and risks , ensuring integration readiness and resolving blockers. Support system-level testing and qualification , contributing to detailed planning and analysis. Provide technical leadership within your domain, contributing to reviews, assurance activities, and stakeholder engagement. Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and technical excellence. What You’ll Bring: Essential: Degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline—or equivalent experience. 4–7 years of experience in systems engineering within complex, regulated, or safety-critical environments. Strong grasp of systems architecture, requirement flowdown , and integration planning. Demonstrated ability to lead technical delivery within a defined scope or subsystem. Skilled in interface definition , cross-discipline coordination, and design assurance. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Desirable: Familiarity with class approval processes (e.g. Lloyd’s Register, DNV) or similar compliance frameworks. Experience with MBSE tools (e.g. SysML, Cameo) and digital engineering practices. Proficiency with Jira, Confluence , and collaborative engineering platforms. Exposure to staged integration , TRL-based delivery, or platform qualification programs.
