Mechanical Technician

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to join our pharmaceutical clients Engineering team. Reporting to the Senior Production Engineering Manager, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the reliable and compliant operation of manufacturing and packaging equipment within a GMP-regulated facility. What you’ll be doing: Maintaining, fault finding, and repairing production equipment to keep operations running smoothly. Applying Good Manufacturing and Engineering Practices in all aspects of your work. Developing, reviewing, and updating procedures, job plans, and standards. Implementing preventative, runtime, and reactive maintenance strategies. Supervising external contractors and equipment vendors. Planning shutdowns, assessing critical spare requirements, and managing workloads. Supporting deviation investigations, corrective and preventative actions, and change control. Advising on equipment selection and commissioning new machinery to meet design intent. Collaborating with production, technical, and quality teams to drive continuous improvement. What we’re looking for: Strong fault-finding skills with a determination to identify root causes and prevent recurrence. Multi-disciplined and adaptable approach to problem solving. Excellent documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritise and plan workload effectively. Flexible, team-focused mindset with a proactive attitude. Computer literacy and experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
