Repairs Surveyor – Full Time – Sheffield & Rotherham We are looking for an experienced Repairs Surveyor to join our Property Services team. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact by assessing complex repair cases, improving property standards, and ensuring tenants receive high-quality, safe homes. Immediate start available. What’s on offer? • Rate of pay: £240–£262.50 per day (umbrella) • Mileage: 0.45p per mile • Contract type: Ongoing temporary assignment • Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday • Locations: Sheffield and Rotherham • Start date: As soon as possible Key Responsibilities • Receive inspection requests from the management team, typically involving complex or high-cost issues such as damp and mould • Raise repair orders and ensure timely and accurate completion of works • Liaise directly with tenants where issues are not identified as defects • Work closely with the complaints team to resolve cases efficiently and effectively • Carry out inspections within social housing properties, ensuring compliance with housing standards and policies • Maintain detailed inspection notes, technical reports, and compliance documentation for audit and regulatory purposes About you • Proven experience as a Repairs Surveyor within social housing or a similar environment • Strong technical knowledge of building pathology, damp and mould, and repair diagnostics • Excellent communication and record-keeping skills • Able to manage a varied caseload, prioritising effectively to meet deadlines • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle If you are a proactive and detail-driven Surveyor looking for your next challenge, we’d love to hear from you.
