Controls Systems Programmer Location: Bedfordshire / MK44 – Flexible with occasional onsite presence Contract Length: Start ASAP, until end of March 2026 (potential 1 or 2-months extension for handover) Exciting contract opportunity offering CIRCA £500 a day (DOE) Overview We’re looking for an experienced Controls Systems Programmer to join on a contract basis, supporting the delivery of two critical automation projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically capable engineer to work alongside a Senior Engineer, contributing directly to the development phase of two CODESYS-based control systems. The work is well-defined and ready to progress, and your role will be focussing on hands-on development of control systems. This is a position where you can start soon and make an immediate impact. Key Responsibilities Develop, test, and implement PLC and HMI software using CODESYS . Collaborate with a Senior Engineer to deliver two control system projects. Work on Bosch BODAS controller integration and related functionality. Support commissioning and validation phases as required. Contribute to documentation and project handover materials. Essential Experience Proven experience in PLC and HMI development . Strong working knowledge of CODESYS . Hands-on experience with Bosch BODAS controllers . Desired Knowledge, but not essential Understanding of temperature control loops . Previous experience working in defence or on military projects
