Technical Business Analyst / Product Owner – Underwriting Workbench Systems Location: London (Hybrid - 2 days on-site) Salary: £75,000 - £120,000 bonus & benefits Department: Product & Analytics Employment Type: Full-time About the Role: An exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing InsurTech delivering cutting-edge underwriting workbench technology for global insurers, MGAs, and reinsurers. You’ll sit between business, underwriting, and engineering teams - helping shape the digital underwriting process, automate workflows, and improve data-driven decision making across the full underwriting lifecycle. If you’ve worked on underwriting workbench, submission-to-bind workflows, or insurance platform integrations, this is a chance to make real impact in one of the market’s most innovative technology environments. Key Responsibilities: Gather and document business and technical requirements for underwriting workflow systems. Collaborate with underwriters, product managers, and engineers to optimise submission, triage, quote, and bind processes. Define and enhance integrations between underwriting workbench, pricing engines, and policy administration systems. Manage API and data model requirements to support automation, analytics, and reporting. Lead backlog management, sprint planning, and UAT. Deliver continuous improvements to workflow efficiency and underwriting performance. Required Experience: 3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner in insurance or InsurTech. Proven experience with Underwriting Workbench or workflow solutions (e.g. Sequel, Send, Cytora, Guidewire, Duck Creek, or custom builds). Strong understanding of underwriting processes - submission, triage, pricing, bind. Knowledge of data integration, APIs, and workflow automation. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Experience with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence. Desirable: London Market or specialty insurance background. Cloud exposure (AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience with low-code / no-code configuration or automation tools. What’s on Offer: Salary £75,000-£120,000 bonus & benefits.
